A small aircraft crashed after take-off Southnd airportSending a fireball into the sky.
Essex Police and East of England Ambulance Service This afternoon is responding to the incident at the airport.
Passenger aircraft is allegedly a beech B200 that was leaving the airport for lelystad Netherlands,
In a statement, the Essex police said: “We were alerted some time before 4 pm for a 12-meter aircraft collision report.
“We are now working with all emergency services at the scene and this work will continue for several hours. We will please ask the public to escape from the region where this work continues.”
The Labor MP has responded to the incident for Southend West, David Burton-Sampson.
While writing on X, he said: “I know about an incident at Southend Airport. Please stay away and allow emergency services to do their work. My views are included with everyone.”
London Southnd Airport is located about 36 miles from the center of London. Airlines have easies to use it.

Essex Police said in a statement: “We are on the scene of a serious incident at Southend Airport.
“We were alerted some time before 4 pm for the report of a 12-meter warehouse. Now all the emergency services at the scene are working and this work will continue for several hours.
“We will please ask the public to escape from the region where this work is going on.
“As a precaution due to the proximity to the incident, we are emptying the Rochford Hundred Golf Club and WestClif Rugby Club. Will be released as soon as possible.”
