Something Is VERY Wrong In Minnesota: Stolen Police Uniforms, Fake Cops, Manifesto — All Linked To Killing of Senator | WLT Report

Web Desk, 14/06/202514/06/2025

The situation in Minnesota is turning from bad to extremely strange.

Allow me to fill you in….

We’ve now learned that a fake police officer driving a fake police car and a Manifesto with many more names are all part of the twisted saga currently unfolding:

BREAKING: Gunman who shot 2 Minnesota lawmakers was dressed like a police officer and driving a fake police car, commissioner says.

A manifesto with a list of names was found inside the car. The suspect fled the scene and is still at large.

— BNO News (@BNONews) June 14, 2025

Watch the Police Chief explain the very strange way in which all of this unfolded…

I’m still having trouble wrapping my brain around all of this:

Something’s off in Minnesota.

Police confirm:
-Haphazardly came upon Hortman scene
-Exchanged gunfire
-Suspect retreated into the home
-Appeared indistinguishable from LE
-Left an identical LE suv w/lights flashing in driveway, and…

a manifesto

FULL TRANSCRIPT:

So can you say it one more time?
So you were just going to proactively check on the Frederik Pleitgen and then wait there?
Encountered the gunman or someone with a gun and exchanged gunfire?
Can you just go over that one more time, please?

I can.

Good morning.

Police Chief Mark Bruley, Brooklyn Park Police Department.

The question is, how did we get to Representative Hartman’s house?
And was it proactively or not?

The circumstances that unfolded in Brooklyn Park this morning is that we assisted the Champlin Police Department on a shooting.
That shooting was made aware by one of our sergeants that it was at Senator Hoffman’s home.
And hearing that, that very intuitive sergeant asked our officers to go check on Melissa Hartman’s home,
a representative that lives in our community, just proactively, as due diligence, to swing by.

That police officer and his partner pulled down the street.
When they arrived at Melissa’s house, they noticed that there was a police vehicle in the driveway
with the lights — emergency lights — on, and what appeared to be a police officer at the door coming out of the house.
When our officers confronted him, the individual immediately fired upon the officers, who exchanged gunfire,
and the suspect retreated back into the home.

Reporter

Was this an actual police officer or the first police officer?

Chief Bruley

Yes. The question is — was it a real person or a person impersonating a police officer?
It was not a real police officer.

This is somebody that clearly had been impersonating a police officer —
again, using the trust of this badge and this uniform to manipulate their way into the home.

Reporter (KARE 11)

So, Chief — the person not only was wearing a badge posing as a police officer when they approached their victims —
they had a car with lights and sirens?

Chief Bruley

Yes.

The question is how — what kind of vehicle, how were they dressed?

They did drive a vehicle that looked exactly like an SUV squad car.
It was equipped with lights, emergency lights that looked exactly like a police vehicle.

And yes, they were wearing a vest with taser, other equipment that would —

(interrupted but continues)

So, can you say it one more time?
You were just going to proactively check on the Governor’s apartment,
and then police there encountered a gunman or someone with a gun and an exchange of fire.

Can we just go over that one more time, please?

Chief Bruley

I can. Good morning. Police Chief Mark Bruley, Brooklyn Park Police Department.

The question is — how did we get to Representative Hortman’s house,
and if it was proactively or not?

The circumstances unfolded in Brooklyn Park this morning as we assisted —

When our officers confronted him, the individual immediately fired upon the officers,
who exchanged gunfire, and the suspect retreated back into —

Reporter

Yes, the question is — was it a real person or impersonating an in-person police officer?

Chief Bruley

It wasn’t a real police [officer].
This is somebody that clearly had been impersonating a police [officer],
again using trust with badge and uniform to manipulate their way —

Reporter

So Chief — early catch — they approached a police officer and asked if they were —

Chief Bruley

Yes, the question is — how, what kind of vehicle, and how were they dressed?

It was equipped with lights — emergency lights that looked exactly like a police vehicle.

And yes, they were wearing a vest with taser, other equipment that would —
a badge very similar to mine —

That no question, if they’re in this room, you would assume.

There is also a Manifesto that has NOT been released yet:

“When we did a search of the vehicle, there was a manifesto that identified many lawmakers and other officials.”

Now here’s where it gets even worse…

Where would someone get police uniforms like this and police gear?

Potentially from this incident:

The man they are looking for in Minnesota was dressed as a police officer and reportedly had stolen a police car. A manifesto was found in the vehicle with both Democrat and Republican names.

I bet you forgot about these stolen police uniforms?

However, stolen police uniforms… https://t.co/Sm5o1cyTDD pic.twitter.com/sS86o9xqA4

I’ve got the full report for you right here, from October 25, 2017:  https://www.oig.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/assets/2017-10/OIG-18-05-Oct17.pdf

Since that’s a very large document, I’ve summarized the key points for you right here:

🔍 Key Findings

  1. Over 2,100 sensitive assets lost (2014–2016):

  2. Many losses caused by negligence or poor judgment, such as leaving firearms in unlocked vehicles, hotel rooms, or public places like gyms or beaches.

  3. In more than half of the 115 cases reviewed, officers either ignored safeguarding policies or details were missing to determine proper handling.

  4. Lack of accountability and retraining:

  5. DHS assets have been used in crimes, including robbery and drug possession. One ICE firearm was used in a murder.

  6. Inventory tracking failures:

    • 11% of sensitive items tested were missing, misplaced, or recorded inaccurately.

    • Some items, including firearms, were found in random storage like file cabinets.

  7. CBP used unofficial spreadsheets to track secure stamps and security ink, violating DHS policy.

  8. Badges were lost at 8x the rate of firearms, often while off duty at places like amusement parks and sporting events.

  9. Non-law-enforcement badges (over 137,000 issued) are not classified or tracked consistently, despite looking like law enforcement badges and posing impersonation risks.

  10. DHS oversight is weak:

    • CAPSIS tracking system is incomplete/inaccurate.

    • Annual inventory certifications often missing or poorly reviewed.

    • No consistent enforcement of policy.

🛠️ Recommendations (6 Total)

  1. Strengthen asset management policy, mandate proper safeguarding, detail lost asset reports, and require police reports when assets are lost.

  2. Retrain employees on updating inventory records promptly.

  3. Ensure CBP uses an official system for tracking immigration stamps (this was completed).

  4. Standardize all badges (law and non-law enforcement) as level one assets to require better safeguarding.

  5. Assess need for non-law enforcement badges, discontinue unnecessary ones.

  6. Improve oversight through internal inspections and regular reporting of asset losses.

✅ DHS Response

  • Agreed with all 6 recommendations.

  • One (recommendation #3) has already been completed.

  • Others are still in progress with estimated completion dates by mid to late 2018.

This audit shows serious gaps in DHS safeguarding of weapons, credentials, and security tools — some of which have already been exploited by criminals. DHS leadership committed to fixing these, but meaningful enforcement and oversight remain essential.

Note that was very early on in the first Trump Administration, and likely reflects serious gaps in safety protocol created during 8 years of the Obama Administration.

BREAKING: Two Senators and Spouses Shot In Their Homes

BREAKING: Two Senators and Spouses Shot In Their Homes

Earlier this morning, news broke that two Minnesota Senators, John Hoffman and Mellissa Hortman, plus their spouses, were shot in their homes.

Sadly, we can now confirm that Melissa Hortman has been killed in what is being labeled an assassination:

BREAKING: Minnesota state lawmaker assassinated at her home https://t.co/eMmPBof4v9

— The Hill (@thehill) June 14, 2025

Here’s a quick summary of what we know so far:

  • Minnesota Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman (D) and her husband Mark were shot and killed in what authorities believe was a politically motivated assassination.

  • The shooting occurred early Saturday morning at their home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

  • Thousands of residents were ordered to shelter in place as police and SWAT teams search for the suspect, who impersonated a law enforcement officer and fled the scene.

  • State Sen. John Hoffman (D) and his wife were also shot the same morning at their home just 8 miles away. Both survived but are in serious condition.

  • President Trump was briefed on the incident and condemned the violence, calling it a targeted attack on lawmakers. He stated that the DOJ and FBI are investigating, and justice will be served.

  • Trump added: “Such horrific violence will not be tolerated… God Bless the great people of Minnesota.”

  • Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) described Hortman as a friend and said federal, state, and local agencies are fully committed to the investigation.

  • Law enforcement warned the public not to trust lone officers at the door and emphasized that real officers will work in pairs during this crisis.

  • Officials said the suspect betrayed the public trust by impersonating police, and security is being increased for at-risk elected officials.

  • The motive is still under investigation, but officials are treating the incident as a serious threat to political leaders and public safety.

More here:

BREAKING: Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband have sadly passed after being shot in what appears to be a targeted attack.

Horrific.

“We’re here today because an unspeakable tragedy has unfolded in Minnesota. My good friend and colleague, Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, were shot and k*lled early this morning in what appears to be a politically motivated assass*nation.”

Both Democrat Senators recently broke from their party to vote for repealing healthcare for illegals.

Many are now speculating that may have been a motivating factor in the attacks:

BREAKING – It’s been revealed the Minnesota democratic lawmakers shot last night, State Rep. Melissa Hortman and State Sen. John Hoffman, both recently voted against their party, with Hortman supporting repeal of free healthcare for illegals and Hoffman joining Republicans in the… pic.twitter.com/5tcmeCZK4K

Here is Hortman speaking about her vote just days ago:

Rep. Melissa Hortman announced she was voting to strip criminal aliens of healthcare.

Listen to how worried she sounded.

This morning she was ass*ssinated.

— Jack (@jackunheard) June 14, 2025

However, ChatGPT claims only Hortman voted with Republicans, not Hoffman:

No, that claim is inaccurate. Here’s what really happened:

  1. Melissa Hortman (House DFL Leader) did vote in favor of repealing the state’s program that provided healthcare coverage to undocumented adult immigrants. This was part of a broader Minnesota budget deal reached in May. However, the program still continues to cover undocumented children until December 31, 2025

  2. John Hoffman (DFL State Senator), contrary to some headlines, did not vote to repeal any such healthcare program alongside Republicans. Reports suggesting he joined that vote are false

To summarize:

  • Melissa Hortman did vote to cut adult undocumented immigrants off the state insurance program.

  • The story that John Hoffman “joined Republicans” to do the same is incorrect — he voted against it.

My friend MJTruth sets forth the three logical conclusions you could draw about what motivated these shootings:

Three thoughts come to mind why these Dems were shot..

1. Blame MAGA, try to enflame “No Kings” Riots

2. Distract from 250th Mil Parade. Flood headlines with Democrat melancholy

3. Messages sent. Fall in line.

— MJTruthUltra (@MJTruthUltra) June 14, 2025

Very well said, I think that’s spot on.

We’ll continue to bring you updates on this breaking story.
