People’s Conference President and MLA Handwara, Sajad Lone, criticized the leadership of the National Conference, questioning the honesty of the Chief Minister of his moral stability and his rhetoric, which was the Chief Minister’s resignation as a route to restore the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a strong statement statement, Lone claimed that “no one has ever resigned in the history of NC. Nobody will ever resign in future,” alleging that the party “believes in maximum at any cost.”
To certify his claim, Lone cited several examples, including the trend not to resign the NC’s stand, when “the autonomy resolution was rejected by the Central Government, when there was a Union Minister in the current CM Sahib government, which rejected the autonomous resolution.”
Referring to the cancellation of Article 370, Lone remarked that “he had 3 MPs in Parliament on August 5. None of them resigned.” He contracted with a remarkable moment in the party’s history, indicating that “Farooq Sahib resigned in 1989 when the law and order was completely broken and the entire neck minister ran away from the US Valley.”
Rejecting the recent comments of the Chief Minister on the resignation, Lone called him “another series of dramatic tantrums”, and said, “CM Sahib’s statement that he would resign that if it paves the way for the state”, then emphasizing that “Aajbali has not passed a resolution on the issue till date.”
Without reducing the words, Lone threw a direct challenge in Omar Abdullah: “You really mean business. We will resign. We will all resign. And Jantar will sit on a protest in Mantar.”
He further attracted a parallel between the current posture of the CM and the previous incomplete promises, stating that “the statements of your intentions are as true as you have made promises made in the election manifesto.”
Ending its comments, the loan issued a strict warning: “But mark my words. This government will go down as the most incompetent and invisible government in history and will be seen with contempt and odium. The only thing that the government can do is lies and arms transfer and after the opponents.”
