Delhi, batting first in the second final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, could only score 146 runs after losing five wickets in 20 overs. Wicketkeeper-batsman Anuj Rawat scored a top innings of 33 runs for Delhi. Relative to Delhi’s score, Madhya Pradesh got off to a very poor start. Arpit Gaur was out on the first ball of the first innings and returned to the pavilion. Thereafter, Harpreet Singh Bhatia and Rajat Patidar together led the team to achieve the target in just 15.4 overs. Harpreet led his team into the final with six points. Madhya Pradesh will now face Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final.

MP has a chance to become champion for the first time

Notably, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 final will be held on December 15 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Both Mumbai and MP have reached the finals of Syed Mushtaq Ali for the second time. Mumbai have won the title once but Madhya Pradesh is waiting for its first title. Now it will be interesting to see which team manages to win the title in the finals.
