For the first time in almost 20 years, an opportunity has arisen for a nature-loving family or a couple to live there, under the guidance of current tenant farmer Gareth Roberts.
Also known as Bardsey Island in English, the new residents will be responsible for managing the 200 sheep and 25 Welsh black cattle grazing there.

Those interested in living there will have to survive with only the most basic amenities, including running water from a well, no shops and no schools.
There are also 10 holiday cottages where visitors are allowed to visit the island between March and October.
For centuries, Ynys Enlli has been dubbed the “Island of the 20,000 Saints” and is considered one of the holiest places in Britain.
Since the 2nd century BC, pilgrims have visited the island, while it has been a refuge for pirates and fishermen over the years.
“Gareth and his family have been there since 2007, and he knows the island intimately – and the challenges and benefits of living on Annaly,” said Sian Stacey, chief officer of the Trust. told the BBC,

A spokesperson for the Bardsey Island Trust said, “We are looking for a family or couple with farming experience.” “Ideally, they will be Welsh-speaking as it is the everyday language of the island, and an important part of its culture.
“For new tenants, the biggest thing is to be part of the community – part of life on the island. The Trust has a five-year conservation plan and there will be plenty of support for tenants.”
