Hasbrook Heights, NJ (AP) – A small earthquake rubbed the New York Metropolitan area on Saturday night.
The US Geological Survey said that there was a quantity of 3.0 in the shiver.
It hit a depth of about 6.2 miles (10 km), less than 8 miles (13 km) to the west of the Central Park, in the New Jersey suburb of Husband Heights.
A resident of Brooklyn Boro, New York described it as a very brief shiver, just dominated a minor for a moment.
Nevertheless, social media quickly burnt with people who felt it. The official account of Empire State Building reported to say on the social platform X: “I am fine.”
In 2024, the 4.8-delestness was much higher than the earthquake, which was killed in the west of the city in Tivsbury, New Jersey.
A 3.0 earthquake is usually not strong enough to cause any damage, but trembling that there are some rare in light northeast.
Emergency management of New York City said that there was no immediate report of major impacts.
