Small arms continue in Pakistan, artillery firing with LoC in Uri

Amidst increasing tension, Pakistan resorted to small arms and artillery fire along with the Line of Control (LoC) in the URI sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, in a major growth with the Western Front of India, the Pakistani Army targeted the Indian military infrastructure and carried out several airspace violations and drone infiltrations on the night of 7 and 8 May.

Addressing a press briefing on Friday, Colonel Sophia Qureshi revealed that 36 to 400 drones were deployed at 36 locations, many of which were shot by Indian forces using both kinetic and non-kenitic methods. Initial investigation shows that the drone was Turkish -made Asisguard Songs model.

Increasing its tension with India, Pakistan on Thursday targeted Jammu using Hamas-style missiles to target several areas, defense sources told ANI.

Sources said the attack resembles the operation of Hamas-style in Israel, where several cheap rockets were used to target cities.

Pakistan’s effort, vengeance came in the wake of Operation Sindoor in India, where the Indian armed forces on Wednesday targeted nine terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir.

Operation was a direct reaction to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on 22 April.

Earlier on Thursday, the Indian Army shot over 50 Pakistani drones during a massive counter-drain operation with Loc and International Borders (IB), sources told ANI.

The Indian armed forces successfully neutralized Pakistan’s army efforts in large-scale drone and missile attacks at several Indian military establishments in northern and western India during the night of 7-8 May, and neutralized an air defense system in Lahore. (AI)
