Siya raids 11 places in Kashmir Sleeper Cell Module case

The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir on Saturday conducted extensive raids at 11 places in Central and North Kashmir in a case related to sleeper cell modules.

In a statement issued to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said that these raids were conducted in connection with the investigation of P/S CI/Siya Kashmir of the case FIR number 01/2025 U/S13, 17, 18, 18-B, 38, 39 UA (P) Act.

The statement states that the competent court has authorized these discoveries which are being conducted in the presence of Executive Magistrates.

“During the raid, adequately growing material has been confiscated and the suspects have been scored for further inquiries,” it reads.

It stated that the preliminary investigation has clearly stated that these terrorist allies are actively engaged in terrorist conspiracy, with the aim of challenging India’s sovereignty and regional integrity, but also to challenge Naik, public disorders and communal hatred, promoting and moving forward.

“The SIA is firm in the security of national security and the commitment to maintain public order. It will continue to take strong action against individuals or groups involved in any kind of separatist and terrorist activities,” he said.

The statement has written that it has been observed that most individuals fall within the weak and influential age group of 18 to 22 years under an SIA investigation to involve online radicalization.

“In this context, the role of teachers, parents and peers becomes important. While continuous monitoring may not always be possible, they should be cautious to the online activities of young individuals and if any behavior is seen in any behavior, it should provide timely guidance,” it reads.

It further reads that if necessary, the matter should be informed to the local police officers to ensure that such youth get proper intervention and counseling- (KNO)
