The province’s police guard was called for investigation after being killed by a vehicle while escaping from the police in Mississaga.
The Special Investigation Unit says that just before 1 pm on Sunday, the Peel Regional Police was invited to a bar at Lakeshore Road East in Port Credit, when a person attacked a staff member.
The police managed to find the teenager shortly after fleeing from the spot near Helen Street, where he collided with a vehicle after running on the road.
The driver of the vehicle did not stay on the spot.
The teenager was taken into custody and rushed to the hospital with a non-life threatening injuries.
SIU is urging people who may have information about the incident, including video or photos, to contact them.
SIU is an independent government agency that investigates police conduct, resulting in death, serious injury, sexual harassment and/or discharge of firearm on a person.
