The popular and beloved comedy series, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, is all set to make its cinematic debut with the release of its feature film adaptation, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun on the Run. Produced by Zee Cinema and Edit II, the upcoming film will release in theaters on February 6, 2026.
This marks a historic milestone in Indian television history, as a still-on-air sitcom became the first show to be televised on the big screen. The film promises to bring back the iconic characters, including Vibhuti (Aasif Sheikh), Tiwari (Rohitashv Gaur), Angoori Bhabhi (Shubhangi Atre), and Anita Bhabhi (Vidisha Srivastava).
For the big screen, the original cast will include powerhouse stars like Ravi Kishan, Mukesh Tiwari and Nirahua, who will add their comedic style to the adventure.

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, which premiered on 2 March 2015 on &TV, has completed an impressive 2500 episodes by January 2025. Inspired by the classic 1990s Hindi sitcom Shriman Shrimati, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has created a decade-long legacy of laughter and entertainment.
As a result of its immense popularity and strong emotional connect with its audience, the show is now making a historic and unique transition to the big screen as it airs new episodes. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun on the Run takes the beloved characters into a new, laugh-filled cinematic universe, promising a chaotic and hilarious comedy adventure.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that Shilpa Shinde may return as Angoori Bhabhi after nine years. The makers of the show are reportedly looking to refresh the series with new elements, and filming for Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain 2.0 is expected to begin by mid-December, reports TOI. Shinde first rose to fame as Angoori Bhabhi, but she left the show in 2016, citing abuse, payment issues and pressure to sign restrictive contracts.
