Jaipur, Nov 17 (IANS) Rajasthan has emerged as a leader in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision Program of Electoral Rolls-2026, making significant progress in digitizing enumeration forms and encouraging online applications.
The state now tops all major states in digitization, with almost half of its assembly constituencies already achieving more than 30 per cent digitisation.
The campaign, which includes distribution, verification and uploading of enumeration forms, has gained strong momentum in the last two weeks.
Booth level officers (BLOs) are going door-to-door across the state, providing forms to voters, guiding them to submit them correctly and ensuring accurate data collection.
Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan said that the pace of digitization has increased significantly, so far 1.65 crore forms have been uploaded on ECINET. Of the 12 states currently included in Phase 2 of the amendment programme, Rajasthan has touched 30.17 per cent digitisation, with only Goa ahead of it.
Barmer district leads the state with 45 percent digitization, followed by Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur, which have crossed 38 percent.
Barmer assembly constituency has crossed the 50 per cent mark, while Raisinghnagar lags behind with 49 per cent uploads.
Mahajan appreciated the efforts of the Electoral Registration Officers in the well performing constituencies and directed the District Election Officers to ensure that wherever necessary, BLOs receive additional support and resources so that digitization can be expedited without increasing their workload.
Rajasthan is also making rapid progress in adopting online counting forms, with 1.77 lakh forms already submitted online.
Hanumangarh, Balotra and Ganganagar are among the most consistent districts in this category. Recognizing the important role of BLOs in the entire process – from door-to-door verification to digitisation, many districts have introduced new ways to incentivize them.
In Chittorgarh and Hanumangarh, the BLO showing the highest daily progress is being honored as the “Best BLO of the Day” on the official social media handles, while in Ganganagar, the District Election Officer is also felicitating the top performing BLO.
The Chief Electoral Officer urged other districts to adopt similar motivational methods.
Mahajan also directed all District Election Officers to intensify public awareness efforts through media, social media and electoral literacy clubs and to display short videos explaining the process of online form filling and use of voter.eci.gov.in portal in colleges and educational institutions so that more and more young citizens can use the digital facilities.
A special intensive revision program for door-to-door counting is being conducted from November 4 to December 4, after which the draft voter list will be published on December 9.
Claims and objections will be accepted till 8 January 2026 and the final voter list will be released on 7 February 2026.
