Guwahati, September 21 (IANS) The mortal remains of Assam, Zubeen Garg’s mortal remains, reached their hometown on Sunday morning, hurting as a outpost of grief, as thousands erected the streets to catch the last glimpse of their icon.

It was brought from Singapore to the national capital after midnight, where Garg died tragically on Friday after a swimming accident. His wife, Garima Saikia Garg, the coffin was landed near the runway.
He placed a traditional Assamese Gamosa and flowers on the coffin before going with it in a flowering-bed ambulance.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister of State for Minister of State Pabitra Margerita, along with senior state officials, were also present at the airport, so that they could get the bodies and pay their honors.
This was CM Sarma, who received the mortal remains of the late singer at Delhi Airport on Saturday late on Saturday night. From the airport, the convoy began his slow journey towards Garg’s Kahilipara residence, barely 25 km away. But with thousands of mourning with roads, the route was slow with pain.
People shouted petals on the ambulance, sang their songs together, and shaken the embosses with the word ‘Zubine Garg Forever’, handled the cut-out, and gummosus.

For millions of people, Zubeen Garg was not just a singer, but a feeling – whose last journey was marked by a sea of humanity, which was united in sorrow.
