Significant improvement of government school in board results

After the announcement of class 12 exam results, it is clear that teaching standards in government schools are moving rapidly. There has been an important and positive change not only in innovative achievements but also in academic results.

A recent example of this is an extraordinary performance by the students of the valley in the national level innovation competition, moreover, the outstanding performance of government school students by achieving more than 100 qualification posts in class 12 results.

Sharing the details, Kashmir, Director of School Education, Dr. GN Itu said that while the results of class 12 are encouraged with not having a pass percentage of zero near any school, performance in class 10 examinations is equally commendable, which acquires more than 90% percentage with 438 schools.

He further said that 219 schools registered 100% pass rate, which is extremely encouraging.

Expressing satisfaction over success, Dr. Itu said that these achievements are the results of the hard work of the students, the dedicated role of teachers and the increasing belief of parents in government schools.

The director confirmed his full confidence in the overall success rates of the students in both class 10 and 12 examinations, emphasizing that these figures indicate a significant improvement in the quality of education. He credited this progress for the establishment of various laboratory facilities, ICT laboratories, implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and provisions of coalition education with modern requirements.

Dr. Itu blamed this success for the collective efforts of teachers, school heads and parents, saying that these achievements are the result of their consistent dedication.

He heartily congratulated the successful students and assured that the government and the education departments will continue to ensure that modern educational facilities be made accessible to students in every corner of Jammu and Kashmir.

It is worth noting that this year, 39,768 students appeared for class 10 examinations, of which 31,010 passed, leading to the total pass percentage to 77.97%.
