Shoepur residents rejoiced as PM Awas Yojana, life changes

SHOEPUR (Madhya Pradesh), September 18 (IANS) Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) continues to bring hope and happiness for countless families across India, and its effect is clearly visible in the lives of beneficiaries in Shaipur district of Madhya Pradesh.

Many families, who were once unable to buy their own homes, are now in permanent houses, for financial assistance provided under this central government scheme.

For residents like Kalli tribals, PMAY is nothing short of changing life.

“We are very happy that we found our house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana,” he shared with a smile.

“It has been almost 10 years since we received this house. Earlier, we did not have our own house, but now we do – and all this has become possible due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Kalli says that having a permanent house has brought a feeling of dignity and security for her family that she had never experienced before.

Another beneficiary, Babu Lal, received his home a year ago.

Recalling the conditions he lived earlier, he said: “We lived in a cut house. But now, we have a strong, permanent house of our own. We are very happy.”

He said that life has changed dramatically since going to the new house. “We are grateful to the Prime Minister for this initiative. So many people are now the owner of the house because of this scheme. This is a great step by the government.”

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has proved a beach of hope for the economically weaker sections, giving them a chance to live with pride, comfort and stability. As the stories of the Xiopur show, it is not only about housing – it is about restoring dignity and making opportunities.

Other residents echoed similar feelings, highlighting their children’s education, health and improvement in overall lifestyle. With the basic features and access to a safe living environment, the beneficiaries believe that the scheme has empowered them to dream and live in a better way. For many people, more than a plan – this is a new beginning.
