Shakib Al Hasan is probably the most famous cricketer of Bangladesh. The star all-rounder has served Bangladesh cricket for a long time and has been their key performer. With experience of 67 Tests, 247 ODIs and 117 T20Is since 2006, Shakib has been a legend for his country. He is currently the world No. 1 all-rounder in T20Is as per the latest ICC rankings. He is the world number one player in ODI. 2nd all-rounder and 3rd in test.

However, like his performance on the field, Shakib’s off-field activities have also been in the news. There is a famous scene in which he is seen shouting at the umpire. Now a video has surfaced in which he is seen assaulting a fan who was taking a selfie. According to local reports, the incident took place on the sidelines of a Dhaka Premier League match.

Shakib is playing for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in the tournament. Before the toss of the match against Prime Bank Cricket Club, a man approached him for a selfie and this angered Shakib. At first he refused and then when he insisted, he grabbed the man by the neck and almost beat him.

Meanwhile, Shakib is not happy with Bangladesh’s preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup. “In the last World Cup we had a reasonable performance and although we did not perform very well, no one would say we performed badly. If that is our benchmark then we have a chance to surpass it in this World Cup and If we want to do that, we have to win three matches in the first round,” Shakib told reporters in Dhaka on May 5.

“In Australia (T20 World Cup in 2022) we went in after playing against New Zealand and Pakistan and so obviously we went into the World Cup with very good preparation and keeping that in mind it’s not ideal. But it “It’s the best we can do as far as preparation is concerned.”

Shakib also explained the reason for Bangladesh playing the series against America, where the T20 World Cup will be played.

“A big reason behind playing against USA is to adapt to their conditions and know about the place because there are not many players who have played in USA. Very few players have the experience of playing there in Florida (2018) and we will get.” Shakib said, playing this series I have become accustomed to the conditions, but at the same time I would also say that it is not ideal (in terms of preparation).
