New Delhi, 17 September (IANS) Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Wednesday ranked 75th position in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in New Delhi to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.
Talking to IANS, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “Through the campaign ‘a tree’ name ‘, the Prime Minister inspired the planting of crores of trees across the country. In this spirit, it was decided that on the occasion of his birthday, saplings would be planted in Ikara, which has always been a origin of development for Indian agriculture.”
Expanding his greetings to the Prime Minister, the minister noticed how he dedicated his life to the service of the nation.
He said, “Under his leadership, India’s reputation has increased multiple in the world and there has been a transformational change in the world’s perspective towards our country,” he told IANS.
With his constant action as a guide theory, PM Modi is today a architect of modern India, he said.
He said that the Prime Minister has deployed India as a symbol of global brotherhood and is shaping the ancient Indian ideal of ‘Vasudhiv Kutumbakam’ – the world is a family.
The Agriculture Minister said that the environment has always been a subject close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s heart.
Plantation drives launched by ICAR, later trees being planted at 113 locations will be witnesses – including Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) somewhere else in their premises of the institute.
Additionally, efforts will also be made to motivate people in other parts of the country to participate in this drive.
The Union Minister also said that on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, several programs are being organized across the country.
This includes blood donation camps, hygiene drives and rejuvenation of hospitals in many other campaigns.
