Shiv Sena (UBT) released the poster while welcoming the poster to Jammu, Kashmir, Amarnath Yatra

The Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit has released a poster, in which tourists have been welcomed and encouraged to participate in the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

The objective of the poster is to assure visitors that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is normal and this is all right.

Manish Sahani, President of Shiv Sena (UBT) JK, has appealed to the people to come to the Amarnath Yatra and find out the tourism potential of the region.

He has also requested that the time limit of registration be extended for the journey to allow more pilgrims to participate.

Sahani said that after the attack of Pahalgam, there was an uproar in Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, are trying to bring back tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said, “On this note, under the direction of Shiv Sena Party High Command, Shiv Sena UBT Jammu and Kashmir have released a poster. The message is that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is normal. Everything is fine in Jammu and Kashmir.”

On 20 May, Sahani also took the X and shared a message to the tourists and the pilgrims of Amarnath, “Come to Jammu and Kashmir … everything is fine in JK”.

National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah appealed to tourists to return to Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, saying that the region wants peace, not war. He reduced the impact of recent terrorist attacks on tourism livelihood, especially in Pahalgam, ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra.

Speaking to ANI in Pahgam, Abdullah said, “The Prime Minister has sent the delegation (to various countries). They can send the message that we want peace and we are not in favor of war … Innocent people should be stopped from killing.”

Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishiya on Monday chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

According to a release, the purpose of the meeting was to ensure spontaneous coordination between all departments and agencies involved in the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

The major issues discussed include security and traffic management, housing for pilgrims, travel registration facilities, sanitation and fire safety measures.

The DC emphasized carefully planning and timely execution of all arrangements, repeating that necessary steps should be taken after the installed protocol, incorporating the reforms according to the current requirements. (AI)
