Shantanu Maheshwari announces new film to star in psychological thriller ‘Crossfire’ opposite Khushalii Kumar

Shantanu Maheshwari and Khushalii Kumar will team up for the upcoming psychological thriller “Crossfire,” the producers said on Thursday. The film will be directed by Harish Raut and produced by Praful Parate and Yogesh Tidke under Sandsational Films Pvt Ltd.

According to the producers, “Crossfire” promises “a range of emotions blended with suspense and drama.” The film tells the story of Ipsita Dar (played by Kumar), whose life unexpectedly intersects with that of Bhanu Pratap Singh (played by Maheshwari), who has just been released from prison. Lauter described CrossFire as a thriller “set against the backdrop of intense human drama.”

“For the layers of the characters, I wanted young actors who could truly embody these characters. I’m delighted to have found Shantanu and Khushalii, and we’re eager to begin workshops with the entire cast before going on stage in October.” the director said in a statement said.

Maheshwari, known for “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, said he is happy to be a part of the film. “I was attracted to this film from the moment I read the script. My character has nuances that challenge traditional moral concepts. He deals with a series of emotional and moral dilemmas that challenge traditional notions of right and wrong. As an actor, these layers provide exciting opportunities to explore,” he said.

“I’m really excited to be a part of this film. The storyline is gripping and the suspense mixed with emotional depth will undoubtedly resonate with the audience,” added Kumar, who was last seen in Starfish.
