Seven people have been charged after investigation into group-based child sex Exploitation In Bristol.
In total, the men have been charged with more than 40 crimes against 11 teenage victims.
Avon and Somerset Police Said crimes occurred between 2022 and 2025.
All the men were re-arrested in a police operation in Bristol on Tuesday and will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning.
Avon and Somerset Police said, “This follows an investigation which began in November 2023 after concerns were raised about the sexual exploitation of a teenage girl.”
“In April 2024, initial arrests were made as part of a day of action in the city. Those arrested were released on bail to allow for questioning, with a dedicated team working to identify and investigate the crimes.”
Police said the alleged victims were in their mid-teens when the alleged crimes occurred.
Syrian national Mohammed Arafe, 19, of Speedwell in Bristol, has been charged with five counts of arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child, one count of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child, one count of sexual assault, one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and a further charge of being concerned in the supply of ecstasy.
Iranian national Sina Omari, 20, of Fishponds, Bristol, has been charged with two counts of rape, four counts of arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child, one count of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of making indecent images of a child, one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and one count of being concerned in the supply of ecstasy.
Wady Sharaf, a 21-year-old Syrian national from Redlands, Bristol, has been charged with one count of rape, one count of attempted rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual activity with a child.
British national Hussain Bashar, 19, of Southmead, Bristol, has been charged with one count of rape.
Mohammed Kurdi, a 21-year-old British national from Henbury, Bristol, has been charged with two counts of rape, two counts of arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child, one count of supplying a Class A drug (Ecstasy) and one count of supplying a Class B drug (Cannabis).
A 19-year-old man, who police are unable to name for legal reasons, has been charged with four charges of rape, one count of arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child, one count of distributing an indecent image of a child, one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and one count of being concerned in the supply of ecstasy.
A 26-year-old man, whom police are unable to name for legal reasons, has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Tom Herbert, said: “This remains a complex and sensitive investigation, with the protection of young girls from exploitation and preventing crime at its core.
“Working with our partners, we have ensured that each victim is provided with the most appropriate safeguards and support to protect them from harm.
“Officers are working around the clock to identify possible crimes and we have worked closely with the CPS to reach this extremely important stage.”
