Jammu, September 28 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha said on Sunday that the purpose of ‘Swa Parv’ is to bring communities, institutions and individuals together in the mass movement of nation building.
The lg participated in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi’s ‘Sewa Parv’ Held at Katra.
He addressed the gathering and exposed the importance of the festival of festivals, creativity and cultural pride, directed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the perspective of ‘Wikiyat Bharat@2047’.
LG said, “With collective commitment to service to ensure meaningful impact on communities, ‘Seva Parv’ is improving public health and promoting ecological stability.”
In his address, he highlighted the importance of community participation for inclusive development and women empowerment-centered initiatives to ensure women leadership development.
He said that active participation of women should be our main objective in all levels of society and in the economy.
He appreciated the efforts of the Shrine Board to promote solid waste management, water conservation and public health.
He participated in a cleanliness drive at Darshan DeoD, as a part of the ‘Seva Parv’ event organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Rasi District Administration.
He visited the medical camps and stalls set up by various departments, and planted Rudraksha at the Spiritual Development Center at Katra.
Approval letters were also handed over to the beneficiaries under various schemes.
