Toronto Blue Jais selected Shortstop Jojo Parker in eighth place in the first round of Major League baseball draft on Sunday.
The 18 -year -old 6 -foot -2 Parker attended the mountain high school at Mississippi. He became the highest pick up from the pot.
He scored 13 domestic runs, 64 runs and batted. 489 with 35 RBI in the previous season.
The 200-pound athlete stole 30 locations for the Class 4A State Championship game to lead a tornado (29-8).
Parker, a right-handed pitcher at the high school level also set a record of 8–2 on the mound, with an average of 2.77 and 89 strikes in 55.2 innings with 89 strikes.
He is currently signed to play college baseball with Mississippi State University in the next season.

The 22-year-old left-handed batsman was admitted as a two-way player by Southern Mississippi. He focused on pitching and reached 96 mph with his fastball, but the inability to throw the strike resumed him in 2023 and worked in just two innings last year.
In this spring, he was converted into a center-company, batting. 350 displayed some best speed and outfield range in college baseball with seven percent strike rate.
He can achieve less than 3.8 seconds before home and convert to the best 30-yard dash (3.51 seconds) of all players, who participated in athletic trials in Draft Commonen.

The Right-Handed Pitcher Will Hines of Mississouga, Onts, was selected by Cleveland Guardian with a 70th overall pick.
Hines are a prep -right that is listed in 6 -foot -2, 180 pounds. He was not expected to draft this high, but the hines have been up to 95 miles per hour with their fastball and are advanced in spinning the ball.
Junior National Team members Hines are known for their poetry and projectability on the mound. He participated in Spring Training Dominican Summer League and MLB Draft League camps.
He is committed to participate in Wake Forest.
Three additional players with Canadian relations were also selected on the first day of the draft.

The summit, the ore Slater de Brun, a Canadian citizen, was also selected by Baltimor Oriols out of the Summit High School to 37th position in total.
Beela, NJ’s Cam Letter, who spent a decade in BC and played for Langley Blaze, was ranked 65th in total by Los Angeles Dojers after pitching at Florida State University in 2024.
