Kulgam, 02 August: Minister of Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education Minister, Sekena Itu laid the foundation stone of 10 MVA in Manzgam today with the aim of strengthening the local electricity infrastructure.
Addressing a large gathering on the occasion, the minister said that the project meets the long pending demand of the people of the area and is expected to significantly increase the power supply landscape, ensuring power availability and reliability for the residents. He said that this is a milestone in the government’s ongoing efforts to improve power distribution and meet the growing electricity demands of the region.
He thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for approving the project, called it a major milestone in the development journey of the region.
The minister highlighted the government’s focused approach towards inclusive development, especially in rural and underscore areas. He said that this newly received station would benefit thousands of houses, which will ensure stable and reliable power supply, promote the local industry and also support the educational and healthcare institutions of the region.
The minister confirmed the government’s commitment to ensure that the benefits of every scheme reach the ground level and eligible. He said, “Our goal is not only to announce projects, but to ensure that they translate into tangible results. The station that attains a symbol of our government’s resolve,” he said.
