Security guard at Drake’s Toronto residence shot amid Kendrick Lamar beef

It looks like Drake’s ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar has taken a terrifying turn after a security guard was shot outside the former’s Toronto home overnight.

According to BBCPolice reported the suspects, who fled the scene, were in a vehicle and shot the guard around the corner from the Park Lane Circle mansion around 02:00 EDT (06:00 GMT) on Tuesday.

It has not yet been confirmed whether the Canadian rapper was home at the time of the incident, or whether he was the target of the attack.

The shooting comes as the rapper is involved in a feud with American rival rapper Kendrick Lamar, but police have refused to consider it as a factor as it is too early in their investigation to charge anyone with a motive.

“We are in touch [Drake’s] team and they are cooperating,” Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force shared with reporters Tuesday morning.

Krawczyk further said that the video that captured the shooting is under investigation, but will not be released due to quality issues.

The BBC also reported that the victim of the shooting, who was shot multiple times, including one in the chest, is in a serious condition in hospital.
