On canceled day, security forces continued their operations in Akhhal Devsar area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir for the fifth consecutive day.
So far, a terrorist has been neutralized in the operation.
Chiner Corps said on Saturday, security forces neutralized a terrorist during a gunfight, which continued overnight in Akhhal area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir. The joint campaign was carried out by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and Special Operations Group (SOG).
In a post on X, Chiner Corps of the Indian Army said, “OP Akhal, Kulgam. Ruk -Ruk -Tarkar and intense firefighting continued during the night. Alert soldiers responded with calibrated fire and tightened the nose while maintaining contact.”
“A terrorist has been neutralized by security forces so far. The operation continues,” the post added to X.
On July 30, in an earlier operation by the Indian Army’s White Night Corps in the Poonch sector, two terrorist operatives were neutralized while trying to infiltrate the LOC.
In his post, The White Knight Corps said, “Operation Shivashakti. In a successful anti-Guspath campaign, Indian Army alert soldiers ended two terrorists trying to infiltrate the line of control.
On 29 July, Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed the Lok Sabha that Lashkar-e-Taiba, the top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was among the three militants killed by security forces during Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir.
“In Operation Mahadev, Suleman alias Faizal …, Afghan and Gibran, these three terrorists were killed in a joint operation of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K police … Suleman was a commander of a-Toiba commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba. Citizens have been abolished in Baisran Valley …” Shah said during the second debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha.
