Security forces busted the hideout of terror in Poonch, recover 5 IED, radio sets

In a joint operation conducted on Monday, the Ponch police of Jammu and Kashmir and the Army Romeo Force busted a suspected terror whereabouts in Surkot village of Pinch, with five instantaneous explosive equipment (IED), several radio sets, wires and telescopes and blankets.

The Poonach police released photos from the hideout, with several radio sets and five IEDs.

The major bust was organized by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, VK Burdi, a joint security review meeting in PCR Kashmir, which was attended by police, army, intelligence agencies and several security forces officials including Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Officials informed the IGP Kashmir about the overall security scenario, which focused primary focus on attaining insight into the existing security challenges in the valley.

Earlier today, tension between India and Pakistan increased, the army responded to firing small arms across the Line of Control (LOC) during the night of May 4 and 5, the official said on Monday.

The Pakistan Army resorted to small arms firing across the LOC along with Kupwara, Baramalla, Ponch, Rajouri, Mehar, Naushera, Sunderbani and Akhnoor areas of Jammu and Kashmir. According to officials, the Indian Army immediately and proportionally responded.

On the night of 3 and 4 May, the Pakistan Army fired small arms firing with Jammu and Kashmir with the districts of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mehar, Naushera, Sundarbani, and Akhnoor, which was effectively against retaliation by the Indian Army. According to the army, the soldiers responded in a calibrated and proportional manner.

This is the eleventh consecutive day of India’s effective vengeance as Pakistan’s Army Army’s firing started on the night of 25-26 April.
