Security and comfort of devotees in Amarnath Yatra is our top priority: LG Sinha

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Nanwan and Chandanwari base camps, and today reviewed the system of Sri Amarnath ji’s sacred pilgrimage, which is scheduled to begin on July 03.
At the Nanwan Base Camp, the Lieutenant Governor inaugurated a leg overbridge for the smooth movement of pilgrims. The new facility will ensure efficient safety check and reduce the waiting time for the devotees.
The Lieutenant Governor interacted with the deputed administrative and security officers deputed for the sacred journey, and took stock of the security of the security and the preparations for the stake departments.
The Lieutenant Governor also reviewed various services for pilgrims, including progress of disaster management center and passenger foundation at Nanwan and the deployment of Lodging, Langer, Power and Water Supply, Sanitation, Health Facilities, Traffic Management, Fire Services and Safety personnel.
He directed telecom companies to deploy dedicated nodal officers on both axes to ensure uninterrupted tele-connectivity.
During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor also interacted with doctors and medical teams at Chandanwari Base Camp Hospital and reviewed the health care system for pilgrims.
The Lieutenant Governor said, “It is our highest priority to ensure that devotees of Shri Amarnath ji easily complete their pilgrimage and their stay is safe and comfortable.”
