Camila Mendoza Olmos was reportedly last seen outside her home just before 7 a.m. Wednesday morning. Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said she appeared to be out for a walk, which her family believed was just routine.

When Rosario realized Camila was missing, he tried to call her, but later discovered his daughter’s phone was turned off and left on the bed.

“I called her on her cell phone, but it was on the bed and it was off,” Rosario said. “I charged it up and went out to look for her. I figured I’d find her like I did every other time, walk, and we’d go home together.”

Rosario searched the area, believing she would find her daughter on her usual route, but she was nowhere to be found. Camilla’s boyfriend and father both said they had not seen her or heard from her. After contacting Camila’s boyfriend and father, she filed a missing persons report.

A Clear (Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue) alert was also issued for Camila, who is listed as missing and “possibly in danger.”

Family and friends searched the area near her home on Christmas Day but found no sign of her, Rosario said, adding that it was completely out of character for Camila to disappear without telling anyone where she went.

“I just asked God to take her home,” Rosario told KENS5. “Bring her back to me.

Friends said Camilla often went out for walks, but during those walks she was always on the phone with someone else.

Her brother, Carlos Mendoza, flew back to Texas after learning she was missing and began searching on foot with volunteers.

“We’ve been searching on foot within a three-mile radius,” Mendoza said. “I want her back.”
