One man was injured in a fire that broke out last month Above A passenger died in a cargo plane crash in Kentucky on Christmas Day, raising the death toll from the crash to 15, officials announced late Thursday.

Three pilots and several people on the ground were killed when the plane’s left engine separated just outside Muhammad Ali International Airport, where UPS has its largest package delivery hub. The National Transportation Safety Board said cracks were later found where the engine was attached to the wing.

Earlier this month, an attorney filed two wrongful death lawsuits alleging the company continued to fly older planes without extending maintenance beyond the regularly scheduled time. are also named in the lawsuit general ElectricFrom which the aircraft engine was made. Both UPS and GE have said they do not comment on pending lawsuits but that safety is their top priority as they assist in the federal investigation.
