In a historic step, the Supreme Court has decided to make the entire process of appointments in the High Courts and the Supreme Court public and has also uploaded the details on its website.
The decision taken for the knowledge and awareness of the public will include the role assigned to the High Court Collegium, the role and input from the state and central government, and the views by the Supreme Court Collegium.
The apex court has also informed about the candidates recommended for judicial people and whether their family members are or are judges of the High Court or Supreme Court in the past.
