SBI submits all details and serial numbers of the poll bonds to the electoral body

New Delhi:

After being reprimanded by the Supreme Court, State Bank of India has submitted all details regarding electoral bonds to the Election Commission. The data includes the bond’s all-important unique number, which will help match the donor to the recipient’s political party.

SBI has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court to comply with its undertaking.One of the key points of the affidavit is: “It is hereby stated that SBI has now disclosed all the details and no [other than complete account numbers & KYC details] has been withheld from disclosure. ”

The Election Commission is expected to upload the details provided by the banks on its website soon.
