Gandhinagar, Nov 16 (IANS) As part of the celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a unity march was organized in Vadodara over the weekend, which was attended by a large number of people along with elected representatives.

A large number of local residents and social organization workers participated enthusiastically in the march.

This unity march, dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the creator of undivided India and the Iron Man of India, was organized under the leadership of Gujarat’s Child Welfare Minister Manishaben Vakil.

Vadodara MP Dr. Hemang Joshi, BJP Vadodara Metropolitan President Dr. Jaiprakash Soni and Sant Mahant were included in the march.

The tribal dance performed during the Unity March was the main attraction of the march. Child Welfare Minister Manishaben Vakil and MP Dr. Hemang Joshi also participated in this tribal dance saluting the spirit of unity.

Dr. Hemang Joshi said, “On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of our Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Lok Sabha level unity march is being started across the country. Gujarat cannot lag behind in this celebration and people of every section are celebrating this spirit of unity which was promoted by Sardar Patel decades ago.

Gujarat Minister Manisha Vakil said, “On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, unity marches have been organized in various assembly constituencies of the city. It is important that the contribution of our national heroes and national unity should not be limited to books only, but people should also be made aware of their rich contribution by making them a part of the celebrations.”
