Sara Ali Khan’s thriller Ae Watan Mere Watan to release on OTT today

Ae Watan Mere Watan starring Sara Ali Khan premiered in early January ahead of India’s 74th Republic Day celebrations. Ae Watan Mere Watan is a thriller inspired by true events, starring Sara Ali Khan as the brave freedom fighter Usha Mehta. Following this, Karan released a new dynamic poster of the film.

Karan and Sara attended the 54th Indian International Film Festival in Goa in November and released the poster of the film. The latest poster takes people back to a bygone era, as we see a nervous but extremely focused young girl talking into a radio-like device in a dimly lit room.

Now, a new trailer has been released. The digital release date was shared via a video starring Sara Ali Khan as Usha, passionately urging the nation to unite against British rule through a secret broadcast.

In the voiceover, Sara Ali Khan can be heard saying: “Tayyar ho jayiye Angrezo se azadi ki akhiri ladai ke liye. Main hoon Usha aur yeh hai desh ka radio (Get ready to win from the British The last battle for freedom. I am Usha and this is the country’s radio station).”

This fictional story is set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942, and tells the story of the courage, patriotism, sacrifice and resourcefulness of the youth of the Indian nation in the freedom struggle.
