Sanjy 2025: J&K Traffic Police released traffic advisor for Jammu-Srinagar NHW

Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K, has released a traffic plan and advisory for July 12, 2025. According to the advisor, the traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) will be subject to proper weather and better road conditions.

Sanji convoy, light motor vehicle (LMVs), passenger vehicles and private cars will be allowed to be ply from both sides on the highway. However, heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed in alternative days. Traffic control units in Jammu and Srinagar will contact the traffic control unit in Ramban before issuing traffic.

Passengers are advised to do their journey during the day due to the possibility of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal. Additionally, HMVS operators are requested to be deprived of overloading and take enough fuel during their journey.

Advisor also specifies a cut-off timing for Nagota, Jakhani and Kajigund’s LMV and passenger vehicles. After assessing the road and traffic status, HMV will be allowed to move from Jakhani to Srinagar, and no HMV will be allowed after 1900 hours.

In addition, the advisor provides information about traffic movement on other routes, including installment-shathan-Anantnag Road, SSG Road and Mughal Road.

Passengers are advised to confirm the road situation before traveling by contacting traffic control units on specified numbers.
