As Chahal rejoiced to celebrate his 350th T20 wicket, Pant walked back to the dugout with the score at 15(13).

Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan is in second place with 572 wickets in 424 matches. In third place is Kolkata Knight Riders’ in-form all-rounder Sunil Narine. The experienced star has 549 wickets in his name in 509 matches.

Chahal is the fifth spinner to take 350 wickets in the T20 format. Ahead of him are Rashid Khan (572), Sunil Narine (549), Imran Tahir (502) and Shakib Al Hasan (482).

In DC’s clash against RR, the 33-year-old spinner proved costly as he ended his four-over spell with one wicket and 48 runs at an economy of 12.00.

DC scored a mammoth 221/8 after explosive innings from Jake Fraser McGurk, Abhishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs.
