Samsung’s so-called Galaxy Watch FE may launch with this name

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE, the cheaper Galaxy Watch model the company is said to be developing, may debut under a different name, according to details that have emerged online. According to previous reports, the Korean technology company is developing a “Fan Edition” (FE) Galaxy Watch that will run on Wear OS. The wearable device may launch under a different name as an updated version of the Galaxy Watch 4 launched in 2021.

Jambor claims that the Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) name was announced just days after the Galaxy Watch FE model surfaced online. The listing mentions three models of the rumored wearable device, which is expected to debut in South Korea, the United States, and global markets.

While Samsung hasn’t revealed plans for a more affordable Galaxy Watch, recent reports suggest the rumored device will feature the same design as the Galaxy Watch 4 and run Wear OS, Google’s smartwatch operating system.

In August 2021, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 4 with a circular display and aluminum body. The wearable features a round dial and is available in black, green, and silver. Unlike its predecessor, this smartwatch runs Wear OS and is compatible with Android smartphones.

The company is also said to be developing next-generation smartwatch models – the Galaxy Watch 7 series, which reportedly includes three models. We expect the company to launch the so-called Galaxy Watch FE or Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) in the coming days or weeks, and then at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, the seventh-generation Galaxy Watch may debut.
