American senator Chris Van Hollen said on Thursday he had met a Salvadoron person who was wrongly deported by the Trump administration in his country, in a case that has expressed displeasure in the United States.
Van Holen had earlier said that he was denied access to jail, where Washington has paid millions of migrants to closure around 300 migrants, saying that there are criminals and gang members-the 29-year-old Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
“I said my main goal of this journey was to meet with Kilmer. Tonight I had the opportunity,” Van Holen later posted a photo on X, which appeared to be a restaurant table with Abrego Garcia.
I said that my main goal of this journey was to meet with Kilmer. Tonight I had that chance. I called his wife, Jennifer to pass with a message of his love. I am eager to provide a full update on my return. pic.twitter.com/u9y2gzpxcb

Van Holen said he would offer “a full update on my return” to the United States.
Abrego Garcia was detained in Maryland last month and was expelled Al Salvador with 238 Venezuela and 22 companions Salvadores, who was rarely called for a warship rights used by President Donald Trump.
The Trump administration officials claimed that he is an illegal migrant, a member of a gang and is involved in human trafficking without providing evidence.
Abrego Garcia enjoyed a protected position in the United States, leaving Al Salvador for his safety.
A federal judge has since ordered to be returned, later supported by the Supreme Court.
But the administration – despite accepting an “administrative error” in its exile – suggests that he is now only in Salvadoron custody.
‘Living in Al Salvador’
On Monday, Bukle, who met Trump in Washington, said that he did not have the power to send the man back.
The Salvadoran leader posted the X late Thursday night that Abrego Garcia was piercing Margrits with Sen Van Hollen in the tropical heaven of L Salvador. “
In fact, there was a cup of coffee and glass water on the table in front of him.
Bukele said in another post, “Now that he is healthy, he gets respect to stay in the custody of L Salvador.”
On the second day of his visit to Al Salvador, van Holen first tried to make his way for the infamous terrorism imprisonment center (CECOT) outside the capital San Salvador to see Abrego Garcia.
The car he was traveling was stopped by the soldiers, said, “About three kilometers (1.8 mi) from the complex catching thousands of Salvadoran gangsters, and now hundreds of migrants from the United States have also been expelled.”
The senator later told reporters, “We were told by the soldiers not to allow us to move forward.”
Cot without a mattress
He said that the goal was to investigate the health and well -being of Abrego Garcia, which was “illegally kidnapped” and now he was a matter of “illegal detention” in the same prison that he had earlier threatened his family.
On Wednesday, Salvadoran’s Vice President Felix Uloa denied the permission of Van Holen to see the prisoner or even talk to him by telephone.
Asked why Abrego Garcia is being held, Uloa told him that “the Trump administration is paying the government of Al Salvador to Al Salvador, to keep him in the secot,” the senator said.
Bukele built the gang members to score the CECOT to score gang members in an iron match, welcomed by most Salvadoran, but was widely condemned to violate human rights.
CECOT prisoners are limited to their cells for all, but 30 minutes a day, the visit is denied, forced to sleep on the stainless steel quotes without a mattress, and mostly on the diet of the beans and pasta.
