Health and Medical Education Minister and Social Welfare Department, Sekena Itu, today visited several areas of Gulmarg constituency and inaugurated development projects there.
MLA Gulmarg, Pirzada Farooq Ahmed Shah; Director Social Welfare Kashmir; Director School Education Kashmir; Director College J&K; Director Health Service Kashmir; Director Ayush; The Director Family Welfare and Vaccination and other senior officials of the district administration were with the Minister of Bermula.
The minister inaugurated the Ayush Health and Wellness Center at Chandel Wangam, which is additional accommodation at Government Middle School (GMS) Chichilora and Kinder Gartan School (KGS) at Crolewath.
Addressing the local people on these occasions, Sekena confirmed the government’s commitment to the creative development and upgradation in health and education sectors. He said, “Healthcare and education are pillars of permanent progress and our government is making hard efforts to increase the quality of life for every resident of J&C”, he said.
The minister advised the local people to use the best of this facility as it would offer a series of alternative medical services such as Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy, which aims to also provide cheap and accessible healthcare options for the rural population.
At the Government Middle School Chichilora, the minister commented that people have trusted the current government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah and therefore we are committed to maintain this belief through all kinds of welfare measures. He called upon the people to use social welfare schemes and other initiatives of the government.
The minister also spoke in length about the achievements of the government in recent months. He assured the general public that their actual issues and problems would be addressed immediately.
On this occasion, MLA Gulmarg, Pirzada Farooq Ahmed thanked the minister for meeting the demand for local population about the operation of the Ayush center.
Later, Sekena visited Government Degree College Tangmarg and failed several students who excelled in various subjects.
On this occasion, the minister also interacted with the college staff and students and took a spot response from them about the quality of education in the institute.
Meanwhile, the minister visited the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kunjar and participated in a conversation with teachers.
The minister emphasized quality education and student empowerment so that he could excel in his future aspects of life in various fields.
Exposing various developmental and educational initiatives of the government, Sakna spoke in length about recent reforms in the education sector and increasing digital infrastructure in schools. He also highlighted the progressive scholarship schemes with the aim of reducing the gap between urban and rural education.
“As we move towards a more inclusive and strong society, it remains the most powerful tool for change of education. The government is committed to empower our youth through quality education and overall support,” he commented.
He also appreciated the tireless efforts of teachers in shaping the future generations and emphasized the need for continuous cooperation between educational institutions and the government for the upliftment of educational standards throughout the region.
Earlier, the minister inspected various stalls set up by the Science Club of the institution showing various innovative products developed by the students.
Talking to the students on the occasion, the minister advised them to follow their ambitions and the government will ensure you support in every means to achieve those goals.
On this occasion, the minister appreciated his hard work and perseverance and implicated meritorious students of classes 10 and 12.
