Sakeena iToo presided over Sampornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh

Kulgam, August 02: Minister of Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education Minister, Sekena Itu presided over Sampornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh in Manzgam block here today.

Sampoornata Abhiyan is being held in the backdrop of the Aspirational Block Program launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in 2023, including 500 blocks across the country. Kulgam district has been awarded a gold medal for obtaining 100% saturation in 6 indicators of this program.

The event was organized by District Administration Kulgam under the Aspirational Block Program of Niti Aayog at Sports Stadium, Manzgam, which is a major milestone in the Vikas Yatra of Aspirational Block Manzgam.

As part of Sampornata Abhiyan, Minister Sakeena also inaugurated Akanksha Haat, which also produced the initiative as a week -long festive exhibition place.

Addressing a large gathering on the occasion, the minister emphasized that such programs are important in ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach effectively intended beneficiaries.

Especially highlighting the availability of several employment generation schemes for women and youth, the minister urged the public to create maximum awareness so that maximum people would take advantage of these schemes.

He also emphasized the importance of continuous awareness campaigns so that the community could reach the support available for him.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the untiring efforts, which converted Manzgam into a top performance block under NITI Aayog’s performance indicators.

Earlier, Minister, Athar Aamir ul Shafi Khan along with Deputy Commissioner Kulgam inspected departmental stalls established to demonstrate various development plans and welfare initiatives.

In the recognition of exemplary contributions, frontline workers, blocks and district-level officials and other stakeholders were vested by the minister under the Sampoornata Abhiyan initiative.

DDC President Kulgam, DDC members, senior officials of the district administration and a large number of local people were also present on the occasion.
