Minister of Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sekena Itu, has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic death of a student in a landslide, who hit a government primary school in a batch-classn area of Poonch district.
In his condolence message, the Education Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and called the incident deeply disturbed and heartbreaking. The minister said, “It is really painful to learn that this natural disaster is full of a young life, promise. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this unimaginablely difficult time.”
Meanwhile, the minister urged the district administration to provide immediate relief to the affected family. He also asked them to take immediate measures for the good of the injured students.
The minister asked the Director School Education Jammu as well as Director Health Service Jammu to provide all possible assistance to their families to keep the injured students continuously monitoring.
The minister further asked the Director School Education Jammu to assess the situation and ensure the infrastructure support required for the affected school building.
