Srinagar, May 26, KDC: Minister of Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education Minister, Sekena Itu, today held a meeting to discuss issues raised during his recent visit in various constituencies of Anantnag, Kulgam and Srinagar districts.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Amir Khan; Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohiudin Bhat and Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Syed Fakhruddin Hamid.
The minister discussed various on-ground issues raised by the general public during his constituency tourism in the districts of Anantnag, Kulgam and Srinagar.
While discussing some pressure and developmental concerns shared by the residents, irregular power and water supply, such as welfare schemes, road situation as well as delay in issues related to rural development, emphasized the Deputy Commissioner to address the same at the district administration level. He asked him to be more responsible while dealing with issues and concerns of public importance.
He asked the officials to organize regular public interactions and grievances redressal camps at the block and tehsil level, highlighting that the timely action and reach of the authorities is important to increase public confidence in the administrative system.
The minister further said that frequent communication among the administration and the public is important towards ensuring easy distribution of public services.
The deputy commissioners assured the Minister of improving service distribution and his commitment to prevent early public issues and concerns. (KDC)
