Last night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards 2024 not only celebrated the great work done over the past year but also gave us a reunion we weren’t expecting. Hollywood legends Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt were on stage together to present the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. In case you didn’t know, this trio was seen together in the 2006 film the devil Wears Prada And after 18 years they met again at the awards night. In a video going viral on the internet, Meryl Streep can be heard saying, “It’s an age-old question – where does the character end and where does the actor begin?” Then, Emily Blunt says, “As we just saw, Meryl and Miranda Priestly (Meryl’s character) the devil Wears Prada) are a bit like twins, aren’t they?” While Meryl disagrees, Anne Hathaway chimes in and says, “No, no, it wasn’t a question” (a reference to one of Miranda’s lines in the film). .
Then, Meryl Streep opens the envelope and Emily comments, “By all means, move fast. You know it thrills me” (a nod to another classic Miranda line from the film).
