Kulgam, July 19: To strengthen health facilities in rural areas, Health and Medical Education Minister, Social Welfare and Education Minister, Sekena Itu inaugurated the new type of primary health center (NTPHC) and sheep expansion center at Khul village of DH Por here today.
NTPHC, Rs.1.88 crore was completed at an estimated cost of Rs, to provide advanced healthcare to residents of Khul and other nearby areas.
Sheep Extension Center, R&B Department Rs. Made by cost of 40.62 lakhs will provide regular treatment, mini operations, expansion activities and shear services to greatly strengthen livestock care and related services in the area.
Addressing a large public meeting on the occasion, Sakna said that the government headed by Omar Abdullah is committed to establish all kinds of necessary facilities in all rural areas. He further stated that this new inauguration will play an important role in providing healthcare to the people of NTPHC and its nearby areas. He said that the government is starting a new era of development and prosperity and all the promises made to the people will be fulfilled.
Sekeena Itu reiterated that the government is making efforts for inclusive development of all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Later, the minister interacted with various public delegations and individuals and took stock of their complaints and issues. He assured them that their actual issues and problems would be resolved immediately.
The ministers, along with others, were with Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, Director Health Service Kashmir, Senior officials of Agricultural Production and Health Departments and other officials of the district administration.
