According to a new report, President Trump had tapped Tom Cruise as a recipient in the Kennedy Center honor this year as a recipient, but was rejected by the Oscar-handed actor.

The Washington Post reported on Thursday that “Mission: Impossible” Star told the Commander In -Chief that he could not accept the invitation to attend the Gala at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington, DC on 7 December.

The decline in offer of cruise was confirmed for outlets by “several unnamed sources” at the center.

The 63 -year -old actor released his latest “Mission: Impossible” installment, “The Final Reckoning” in May and is currently working on several projects for release in 2026.

Cruise would have led a star-stamped list of honor for this year’s program, when Trump named five artists, for which he was a personal hobby, including actor Sylvester Stallone, Rock Band Kiss, disco singer Gloria Genor, British actor Michael Crofford and country music star George Strait.

The “Top Gun” actor is away from entering the political realm, either the option to not speak about the party and bypassing a question about Trump.

I think Tom Cruise is a good boy.

I think he has made a great life mistake with complete scientology, but I think he is a good boy.

I think she is deeply dedicated to her crafts (making films) for almost extreme fashion – there are countless reports that she refuses to accept a stuntman as she is dedicated to her craft and to make it right.

So I think not to accept the award probably comes down for some things….
