On the horrific memory day of Partition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to the people who tolerated the “upheaval and pain” of India’s partition.
In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “India visited the horrific memory day by countless people during that sad chapter of our history. It is also a day to honor his patience … It is also a day to honor his patience … Their ability to face unimaginable losses and yet the power to start AFRESH.
“Many of them went to rebuild their lives and achieve remarkable milestones. This day reminds us of our permanent responsibility to strengthen our country’s bondage bonds together,” reads the post.
