SASS National President SJR Kumar said in a letter to Kerala’s Additional Chief Secretary (Home) that the investigation conducted by Devaswom Vigilance or Kerala State Police cannot expect the whole truth to be revealed as there is a serious possibility of intervention or manipulation by the parties involved.

“Only a neutral and central agency like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) can ensure fair, transparent and reliable investigation. Travancore Dewasam Board suspends officer on ‘false’ report

The Travancore Devaswom Board on Tuesday suspended Haripad Deputy Devaswom Commissioner B Murari Babu in connection with alleged irregularities. The senior officer was suspended for allegedly submitting misleading reports about the ‘gatekeepers’ idols of the Sabarimala temple.

According to the board, the incident took place on 17 June 2019, when Murari Babu was an administrative officer in the temple.
