Edle Rutschman doubled the tiebracing run at the bottom of the eighth innings, and Baltimor Oriols completed a doubleheader sweep of Toronto Blue Jais on Tuesday night 3–2.
On the second and one with Gunnar Henderson, Rutsman lifted a drive from Jeff Hoffman (6-4) to the right that Nathan Luks tried to catch against the big wall in the right ground in the camden yard. Luke arrived for the ball and initially it seemed uncertain where it ended, only to find it down on its feet.
Andrew Kitradrade (2–2) won the relief, and Corbin Martin worked out of the ninth inning jam to save his first career. The last place Oriols has recently removed many relievers- Which contains serranthni dominguesWhich was traded in Toronto among the sports of this doublehead and scorer at seventh place at night.
Blue Jais had one with one against Martin in the second and third place, but Lux witnessed and the Bo Bette went down swinging.
Baltimore Opener won 16-4.
Leux and Miles Straw hit the RBI grounders in the second and fourth for Toronto, before Ryan O’Harn tripled one run for Oriols at the bottom of the fourth. O’Harn then scored on a grounder by Ramon Uris.
Blue Jais killed coach David Popkins, while Toronto was batting in the seventh.
Bo Bichet went to 0-for-5 with three strikes and a double-play grounder. Blue Jais has lost four straight games, and all three in a line against Oriols.
When they send Dean Cramer (8-7) against Jose Beros (7-4) on Wednesday, Oriols will try to sweep this four-game series.
