Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday and expressed “full support” to India in the fight against terrorism and said in a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
President Putin insisted that the criminals and their supporters of the heinous attack should be brought to justice.
It was also noted that during the conversation, the two leaders reiterated their commitment to deepen the Indo-Russia special and privileged strategic partnership.
PM Modi also greeted President Putin at the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day and invited him to the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit, which was later to be held in India.
Earlier on 3 May, Foreign Affairs Minister SV Lavarov discussed the terrorist attack near Pahgam in a telephonic conversation with Foreign Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. Lavarov called for settlements by political and diplomatic means on bilateral basis.
After the Pahalgam attack, India has strongly protested against Pakistan to support terrorism across the cross-limit.
At the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 23 April, India decided to hold the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty in 1960 in the 1960s, until Pakistan reliably and unchanged ends its support for terrorism and closes the unified attitty -post post. India has also declared officers of the personality of the Pakistani High Commission as non -adults and ordered them to leave India within a week.
The central government also decided to cancel any visa provided under the SARC VISA Rebate Scheme (Sves) and ordered Pakistan to leave the country within 48 hours. The Government of India also immediately suspended visa services for Pakistani citizens.
Amidst ongoing tension, India imposed immediate ban on direct or indirect import and transit of all the goods generated from Pakistan or exported, regardless of its import situation, according to a notification from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. (AI)
