Russia and Pakistan grow closer, know what happened at military officer meeting

Islamabad: Senior military officers of Pakistan and Russia meet. During the meeting, the two countries resolved to strengthen cooperation in the security and defense sectors. Russian Deputy Defense Minister General Alexander V. Fomin met with the heads of Pakistan’s three military services to discuss ways to strengthen defense ties.

Defense and security cooperation will be strengthened

A statement from the Pakistan Army’s media arm, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that during the meeting with Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, the two sides discussed issues of regional security and common interests, including: General Munir reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to “The meeting also included joint military exercises and technical support for Pakistan Air Force equipment,” Yu said in a statement, and discussed new ways to strengthen existing relations.

Pakistan wants to become a member of BRICS

It is worth noting that Pakistan applied to join the BRICS last year but was not invited to attend the BRICS meeting in Kazan. Pakistan was granted neither membership nor dialogue partner status. Pakistan has been excluded from the BRICS due to India’s opposition. India has always been opposed to Pakistan joining the BRICS. (language)
