New Delhi, 2 October (IANS) Remembering the auspicious day of the nation, the Dashtri Self -Service Association (RSS) was more than the event marking its anniversary. But if someone thought that Sarsenghchalak, or head of the organization, Mohan Bhagwat would mark his centenary celebrations with a long, curved speech, they were wrong. Even this was a late-down for those seeking direct political messages to the government.
Addressing the Vijayadashami festival congregation in Nagpur, Mohan Bhagwat mentioned political, diplomatic and economic challenges. He also emphasized the need for national unity and self -sufficiency in his speech. He gave a call for caution against dangers – internal and external – and highlighting the importance of permanent growth between changes in environment and natural disasters.
However, while the RSS has contributed a large number of leaders to the Bharti Janata Party (BJP), including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it avoids direct participation in political matters.
According to an official close to the organization, there was a route in an incident since the late 1940s, when the RSS diving was debated in politics. There was a section that proposed direct participation to the appearance and voice in political spectrum.
However, Madhavarao Sadashivrao Golwalkar, known as “Guruji”, was then strongly opposed to the step of the Sangh.
Golwalkar was the second Sarsangchalak of RSS since 1940–1973. He was of the opinion that if the organization became political, he would prefer to reach out to the people against the organization of new “branches” and with objectives and objectives.
According to the Sangh, politics cannot bring desired social change in society. As stated by the current Sarsengh conductor on Thursday, “Social awareness and change in social conduct are necessary to bring social changes. Changes in the behavior of society do not come through speeches or texts. We need to create active social awareness, and those who need to become a living example of change.”
In August-Ave, he clarified that the government and governance are with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), “RSS can only suggest”.
Although the RSS serves as the ideological backbone of the political party, where its senior workers act as organizational secretaries at various levels of party or frontal organizations, the Sangh avoids direct participation.
It is part of teachings since the early days. So far, the Sangh has achieved about 30 percent of its target, according to an official close to the organization.
“We remember, we remember the tasks, it’s not time to celebrate,” he said.
In simple terms, he explained, to take the ideal nation to the summit of glory, through organizing the whole society, not only an organization in society. Perhaps the idea in his speech is reflected, when the RSS chief said on Thursday, “So during the centenary year, the Sangh will try to ensure that the work of ‘distinguished Niranman’ spreads across the country and the ‘Panch Parvartan’ program, which aims to bring gradual changes in social conduct, which is adopted through all classes.”
Thus, despite taking issues related to terrorism, diplomacy, social changes, others, no political advice was given to the day government.
