Jabalpur, Nov 1 (IANS) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale on Saturday said the organization has successfully added 10,000 new positions for Sangh work since its last meeting in October 2024.

The RSS functionary said currently 87,398 daily shakhas are held at 55,052 locations, which is 15,000 more than last year.

In addition, there are 32,362 ‘Sapthik Milans’ (weekly meetings), taking the total number of activity centers to 87,414.

Hosabale shared this information while addressing the press on the concluding day of the ‘All India Executive Board Meeting’ of RSS in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

He gave information about the meetings and various programs organized across the country on the occasion of Vijayadashami under the Sangh Centenary Year-2025.

He said that, in recent years, due to concentrated efforts, the work of the RSS has expanded to tribal areas and among labourers, farmers, students, entrepreneurs and professionals.

Hosabale shared that the organization also discussed the upcoming events of the Sangh centenary year, which have already received an encouraging response from the society.

“Hindu conferences will be organized at the basti (village) and mandal levels in the coming months. Through these activities, the message of ‘Panch Parivartan’ will be taken to the grassroots level, so that these principles can be made a part of social behavior and daily life,” he said.

Hosabale said that it is estimated that Hindu conferences will be organized in 45,000 rural and 35,000 urban areas.

“Additionally, social harmony meetings will be held at block and city levels, while enlightened citizens’ seminars will be held at district headquarters,” he said.

He clarified that there is no need for everyone to join the shakha, rather everyone should work for social unity, harmony and national progress in their respective areas.

He emphasized that the objective of the ‘Shatabdi Year’ programs is not to increase organizational strength, but to awaken the inner strength of the society and inspire awareness, unity and national dedication.
